Nigerian music legend Onyeka Onwenu, fondly known as the “Elegant Stallion,” has been laid to rest in Lagos.
The celebrated artist’s funeral service took place at the Fountain of Life Church in Ilupeju, Lagos, where family, friends, and admirers gathered to pay their final respects.
Following the solemn service, Onyeka Onwenu was privately buried at a vault in Ikoyi. The intimate burial ceremony was attended by close family members and a few select friends, ensuring a dignified farewell for the beloved icon.
Onwenu, whose career spanned several decades, was celebrated not only for her contributions to the music industry but also for her impact as a cultural icon and advocate for social change.
Her passing marks the end of an era, leaving behind a legacy that will continue to inspire generations to come.
