Commercial Driver Arraigned For stealing Bus

A commercial bus driver, Rasheed Toluwalashe, has been arraigned in court for allegedly stealing a bus.

Toluwalashe is facing trial on two-count charge of stealing and conspiracy, the prosecutor, ASP Benedict Aigbokan said.

Aigbokan submitted at Ejigbo Magistrates’ Court where the case was held that the 55-year-old suspect, alongside his accomplice still at large stole a Toyota Sienna bus with Registration Number KRD 781 XZ on July 3 at a car park known as GCP Transport Company situated No 6, Olatunji Street, Ayodo-Egbe in Ikotun Lagos.

The offence, according to the prosecutor contravened Sections 287 and 411 of the Criminal Law of Lagos, 2015.

The defendant pleaded not guilty.

Magistrate Kofoworola Ariyo granted the defendant bail in the sum of N500,000 with two sureties in like sum and adjourned the matter till August 30.
