The Lamex Charity Foundation, in collaboration with Free Medical Outreach and Vision Savers Eye Care Centre has announced a three-day free eye treatment program
Echonews reports that the initiative includes optometry services, cataract surgery, and other essential eye treatments. The event is a prelude to the 60th birthday celebration of Alhaji Olarewaju Rasaq Akani Mohammed Mashika, the esteemed CEO of Lamex Group of Companies.
The event, aimed at providing much-needed eye care services to the residents of Lagos, will be held at designated locations across the city. The initiative reflects Alhaji Mashika’s long-standing commitment to community service and his desire to give back to the society that has supported his journey.
The free eye treatment program is scheduled to run for three days, offering a wide range of services. Optometry services will include comprehensive eye exams, prescription glasses, and vision therapy. For those suffering from more severe eye conditions, cataract surgery will be available, addressing one of the leading causes of blindness in Nigeria. Additionally, various other eye treatments will be offered to address common vision problems.
Alhaji Mashika, whose philanthropic efforts have been widely recognized, expressed his excitement about the event. “As I approach this significant milestone in my life, I am reminded of the importance of vision and the impact it has on our daily lives. This initiative is my way of saying thank you to my community and ensuring that more people have access to quality eye care,” he stated.
The collaboration with Free Medical Outreach and Vision Savers Eye Care Centre ensures that the program will be conducted with the highest standards of medical care and professionalism. Both organizations bring a wealth of experience and expertise in providing healthcare services to underserved communities.
Residents of Lagos are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity and attend the designated locations for their free eye treatment. The event not only aims to improve eye health but also to raise awareness about the importance of regular eye check-ups and early intervention in preventing vision loss.
