Landlord Sentenced To Life In Prison For Defiling Tenant’s Daughters

A sexagenarian has been docked for having forceful sexual intercourse with his tenant’s two daughters, a Lagos Court has affirmed.

The transgressor, identified as Ambrose Igwe defiled the duo of ages seven and 11.

During the sitting held at the Ikeja Sexual Offenses and Domestic Court on Monday November 20, Igwe, 65, was alledged to have lured the victims into his apartment at his house in Shagari Estate, Iyana Ipaja on the pretence of helping them with their school assignments but only to commit the dastardly act in June 2021.

A verdict released by the court read, “Ambrose was found guilty of inserting fingers into the private parts of his tenant’s children. The survivors are aged seven and 11.

“He was arraigned on a four-count charge bordering on sexual assault by penetration and indecent treatment of a child.”

The judge, Abiola Soladoye, described the landlord as a “irresponsible, dirty old man” who inserted his fingers into the victim’s genitals and touched their breasts for his sexual urge.

Soladoye in her rulling sentenced the defendant to life imprisonment for count one and count two each; while counts three and four carried seven years jail term each.

The statement added that his name will registered in the Sexual Offenders Register as maintained by Lagos State.
