Lagos based Women football club side, Prince Kazeem Eletu Queens became the first team in the NWFL Nationwide campaign to qualify for the final round in anticipation of their qualification to the NWFL Championship despite having a game more to play.
The Coach Jaiyeola Damilare tutored side defeated Castmog FA 2-0 and FC Niger Amazons 3-0 to earn 6 maximum unreachable points in the group B2 standings, as the remaining 3 teams in the group are lost in the battle of qualification to the next round.
Before leaving Lagos to Edo for the NWFL Nationwide campaign, Prince Kazeem Eletu Queens players set their aim of qualifying to NWFL Championship as non negotiable as they believe they are ready for the challenges before them.
Speaking with ECHONEWS, Coach Jaiyeola Damilare said qualifying to the NWFL Championship is a target that it’s achievable to them and possible because they have prepared well for it.
The NWFL Nationwide which is been held at two, School of Health and Western Boys high school in Edo, Benin city will see just 2 teams qualify to the NWFL Championship from a pool of 16 teams.
Other Lagos based clubs in the nationwide are Papa Soccer Academy and Lakeside Queens.
