Work harder to win at state level, Shammeh charges Spelling Bee participants

The Chairman of Isolo Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Hon. Shamsudeen Olaleye (Shammeh) has charged the representatives of the local council at the Lagos State Spelling Bee to work harder to win the competition.
The winners of the preliminary competition organised by the local government would represent the council at the state level.
In the senior secondary school category, Hamid Aguoji of Ijeshatedo Grammar School came first while Praise Keku of Okota Senior Grammar School came second and Emmanuel Obasi of Okota Senior Secondary School emerged the second runner up.
Fathia Sulaiman of AUD Comprehensive Junior Secondary School came first in the junior category while Marridiyya Anthony of Isolo Junior Secondary School and Emmanuel Jehu of Central Junior High School came second and third respectively.
For the primary school category, Fareedah Yusuf from Ire-Akari Primary School came first while Abdul Azeez Mutolleeb from Akinbaiye Primary School and Dorcas Olowu from Estate Nursery and Primary School emerged the first and second runners up.
The pupils are to represent the council at the state level of the competition that will be organised by the state government to compete for the grand prizes which include the status of One-Day Governor.
The council chairman advised them to intensify their study in order to fend off competition from their contenders from other schools and make the LCDA proud.
Also, the Supervisory Councillor for Education, Hon. Olakunle Buhari charged parents, guardians and corporate organisations to do more to contribute to the education sector through donations.
