Bayern Munich forward Thomas Muller and Borussia Dortmund defender Mats Hummels have been recalled to the Germany squad after displaying great performances for their respective clubs this season.
Both players finally made the provisional squad list for the Euro 2020 which will be played in the summer.
31 year old Muller posted on Twitter saying “I am back”, while 32 year old Hummels reacted on Instagram “I am glad to be back, I’m really up for the new chapter”.
Both players were axed from the German national team due to the disastrous 2018 World Cup campaign were Germany crashed out in the group stage.
Germany coach, Joachim Low added that Muller and Hummels were recalled because they give the team a lot in terms of leadership skills.
