The council boss emphasised that the projects are parts of the expected dividends of democracy the residents are entitled to which are also to encourage the residents to give more support to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), especially during the coming local council elections.

His words: “It (Araromi) is one of the roads I’m happy about. This has raised the tally of the roads we’ve done in this second term to 20 and we are not stopping. We did this particular road within one week. APC is a party that loves Ilasa, we’ve done Fabiyi Street with drainage and now Araromi and that is to show that the searchlight of government is in Ilasamaja because right now, the state and federal governments are also having projects ongoing in Ilasamaja Ward. Baale Street can still be done before the expiration of our time in office to complement the effort on Araromi.”

He, however, urged the residents and other stakeholders in the community to take ownership of the roads.
