Court grants alleged serial thief N100k bail

A magistrate court sitting in Isolo has granted an alleged serial thief, Nnenna Asegwo bail with the sum of N100,000 and two sureties in like sum.
The defendant, a domestic house keeper was arraigned on a single count charge bothering on stealing one Samsung S9 hand phone valued N89,000, two wrist watches and gold necklace valued at N300,000 belonging to one of her previous employers, Mrs. Folashade Ajayi, living at Magodo Estate.
The Prosecutor, Inspector Oje Uagbale, said Asegwo had stolen from the person she worked with at No 9, Nwanchukwu Close, Ago-Okota and ran away from her master.
He explained that the defendant was arrested through the combined efforts of the complainant and her new employer and was subsequently arraigned in the court.
However, the defendant denied the charge as she pleaded not guilty. The matter was therefore adjourned till Monday, March 16, 2020 for further hearing while the defendant was granted bail.
