Olaleye, who was represented by the Vice Chairman, Hon. Bayo Olasoju, , said he was fully aware of the complaints particularly on the state of the roads within the council area.

Analysing the works that had been done, the council boss explained: “Before the rains, the council has constructed Baale Shekoni Street, Ajao Estate fitted with street lights. As we speak, work is on-going at Lukman Atobajeun Street in the same Ajao Estate with paved stones and drainage.

“Presently, the council is working on Fabiyi Street in Ilasamaja and people from Ilasa can attest to the work going on there, same for Sylvester Ayanwu in Okota.

“On education, the council has renovated Akinbaiye Primary School with the complement of a brand new Home Economics room, borehole and roofing. Also, the council has purchased two school buses to convey students to the School Village.

“On Empowerment, the council has held empowerment programme wherein widows, senior citizens and the physically-challenged were given food items and stipends to assist them in their daily struggle.”
