Nollywood powerhouse Funke Akindele is setting her sights high with her upcoming film, “Everybody Loves Jenifa.” The actress and filmmaker, known for her iconic role as Jenifa, is aiming to surpass last year’s box office record with her latest project.
In 2023, Akindele’s film “A Tribe Called Judah” broke box office records, grossing over 1 billion naira. With the anticipation surrounding “Everybody Loves Jenifa,” she’s confident of achieving even greater success.
During an Exhibitor Soirée held at Film House cinemas on November 20, 2024, Akindele expressed her ambitious goal of making 5 billion naira in ticket sales. She urged cinemagoers and administrators to be vigilant and prevent piracy, highlighting the impact it had on “A Tribe Called Judah.”
“Everybody Loves Jenifa” boasts an impressive cast, including Funke Akindele, Folarin Falana, Jackie Appiah, Nancy Isime, Stan Nze, Bisola Aiyeola, Patience Ozokwor, Chimezie Imo, and Isaac Olayiwola.
