Kidnapped Lagos PDP Chairman Regains Freedom
The Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Lagos state, Mr. Philip Aivoji has been freed by his kidnappers.
The release was confirmed by Hakeem Amide, the PDP publicity secretary for the state, in a statement on Monday morning. Amide also mentioned that Aivoji spent four days in captivity and expressed gratitude to everyone involved in securing his release.
“We use this opportunity to appreciate your prayers most importantly cos God’s mercies was visible all the way.
“Thank You All for your Concerns and Prayers” he said.
Last week, Aivoji and several others were abducted during their journey from the Southwest PDP meeting in Ibadan, the capital of Oyo state. The incident occurred in the Ogere region of the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.
