Zenith Bank takes service to streets

Zenith Bank, in its quest to gather more customers in the Ejigbo axis, has taken its account opening service to the door step of the community residents.

The marketing move which commenced on the 10th of this January provided opportunities for Ejigbo residents to open individual accounts for free, becoming a life time partner with the commercial bank.

During this time ECHONEWS gathered that the financial institution offered residents the mere opportunity to open savings account with N0.00.

One of the bank’s officials who spoke with ECHONEWS said the outdoor service is part of the bank’s strategies to secure more customers in the community.

He further explained that the bank has extended the service outside the office to make work easier as well as to decongest the bank premises.

At the registration point, Automated Teller Machine (ATM) card was also issued instantly for customers guarantee to access their account anytime.

“This exercise is necessary to ease the stress of coming to our office just to open an account. Customers will get the same service here as they would in the office once they have the requirements to open an account such as Bank Verification Number (BVN), National ID card, Permanent Voters card or Drivers Licence depending on the type of account for proper documentation,” the bank official said.

A participant, Tope Atiku after she has been registered told ECHONEWS that the bank’s outdoor service gave her the opportunity to have a bank account, saying although she had wanted to open the account but she was so busy to go the bank adding that the exercise was timely as she needed to open an account with the bank before she resumed back to school.
