Elder Bamidele Ogunsakin has continue to mourn late mother, Deaconess Mrs. Eunice Olapeju Ogunsakin (Nee Oriji) who died at 96.
Ogunsakin said he was so close to his mother when alive and enjoyed her maternal love and care.
“I cannot quantify what I will miss from my dear late mother as long as I am living because, for every situation when I miss her, I then realise her role. As I move on in life, her role will be felt each time of my life.
“For every development along the line in life, that is when I will know that I have missed someone special which makes quantification a continuous process at every different stage that her impact is felt.”
Being a member of the Christ Apostolic Church (CAC) Oke-Alafia Iyanu quarters Ido-Ani in Ose Local Government, Ondo State where she was appointed Iya – Ijo in the year 2001, Ogunsaking described his late mother as a devout Christian who was devoted to her religion.
“My mother lived a normal life free from sickness and God gave her a long life. I can’t remember when last mama said she was sick while I was growing up, she was always on the road going to farm and busy buying ‘tinko’ (dried meat ) in Ibadan for trade until she became old.”
He thanked God for the life lived by her late mother and the opportunity God has given to the children to succeed her.
