Coach of FC Robo Queens, Emmanuel Osahon, is in high spirit towards the final of the Aiteo Cup (Women FA Cup version) as the team defeated Edo Queens 5-3 in the penalty shootout to progress to the final where they will play against Bayelsa Queens.
Speaking with ECHONEWS, Osahon said it was not an easy task to reach the final of the Aiteo Cup.
“It wasn’t an easy task reaching the final, we won two matches via penalty shootout and most of the top-flight teams we played aren’t pushovers, they are premier league teams. We also defeated the defending champion and also the runner-up of the competition. So, it was very tough reaching the final.
“We are working hard and correcting our mistakes in preparation for the final. By God’s grace, we are coming to Lagos with the trophy because the Bible says with God all things are possible.”
The last time FC Robo Queens faced fellow finalist, Bayelsa Queens, FC Robo Queens defeated them 2-0 in the Nigeria Professional Women Football League (NPWFL) super six with goals from the inspirational Monday Gift and dazzling Lawal Taiwo.
