The Ward Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ajao Estate, Hon. Reuben Enoch has assured that his ward will not be a hard nut to crack for the party come Saturday, July 24.
Enoch gave the word of assurance in reaction to the address of the chairmanship candidate of the party, Hon. Adebayo Olasoju during the campaign rally that was carried out around the ward today.
The rally was in continuation of the seven-day council tour the party is carrying out in preparation for the fast-approaching local council elections.
As reported and closely monitored by ECHONEWS, the tour which will be concluded on Monday in Ilasamaja Ward had begun on Monday with Akinbaiye Ward and held at Alagbeji Ward on Tuesday.
Tomorrow has been fixed for Ishagatedo/Ire-Akari ward where the campaign team will be received by ward leaders and party loyalists at the popular Ishaga Bus-Stop by 2 pm.
The rally will be held in Okota and Apena Ward, on Friday and Saturday, respectively.
While addressing residents and party faithfuls at the junction of Abule Market, Olasoju charged them to make sure that the party records convincing victory at the polls.
He also engaged the electorate on voter enlightenment especially on the usage of the index finger to vote.
He emphasised that the index finger is the most appropriate finger for voting as he urged them to confidently cast their vote in the box beside the party’s logo on the ballot paper.
Commenting on Olasoju’s address, Enoch revealed that the next line of action is for the ward executives, leaders and other party faithfuls to heighten their campaign activities with house to house campaigns and other conventional and unconventional means in order to complement the massive rally.
He maintained that the ward executives are on course to ensure that Ajao records landslide victory for Olasoju, his running mate Hon. Shakir Sadiq Adeola and the Councillorship candidate Hon. Chidiebere Iheasirim.
“We’ve been doing (delivering Ajao for APC) it, we will do it again. We will do well to complement this mega rally with house to house campaign and by the special grace of God, we will have massive votes for our candidates come July 24.
He continued saying, “Though there is still some little annoyance within the fold because of the councillorship in Ajao Estate but by the special grace of God we will try our possible best to reconcile them to the folds and we will all work for the party. We will consolidate our efforts and make sure Ajao is not a hard nut for the party. We will surely deliver.”
Before settling for the terse address at Abule Junction, the rally which began from Ajao Bridge along Osolo Way where the ward leaders received the campaign team, was taken to the nooks and crannies of the community to the excitement and admiration of residents, business owners and road users.
The team visited the former House of Representatives member in the ward Hon. Jaiyeola Ajatta who blessed Olasoju, Adeola and Ihearisim and boasted that Ajao will be won comfortably by the party.
The party chairman, Barrister Gani Bello and other party leaders from other wards were part of the mega rally.
