Former Sole Administrator of Oshodi-Isolo Local Government Area, Hon. Taoheed Taiwo has announced plans to contest the chairmanship of Isolo Local Council Development Area “on merit”.
Taiwo is the son of Political bigwig and member of the Governor’s Advisory Council Pa Imran Taiwo and was the Special Adviser on Chieftaincy Affairs in the Hon. Kehinde Bamigbetan administration of Ejigbo LCDA between 20011 and 2014.
Announcing his ambition on his Facebook page at the weekend, Taiwo said;
“After consulting with my Creator, my Political Leaders and Members of the greatest Party in Africa, the All Progressives Congress… I have accepted the Call of my People in Isolo Local Council Development Area to Serve them as the Chairman of the LCDA.
I have joined the race not because I think I’m perfect or more better than other aspirants, but to contribute my own quota for the development of our Local Council Development Area using my past Experience, my little Knowledge and Skills to improve on Governance and all aspects of delivering the dividend of democracy to the People of Isolo LCDA.
I seek for your Endorsement and Support”
Taiwo will be banking on the achievements of his tenure while serving the public at the local government as well as his exposure to politics at home.
His achievements as Special Adviser include the organisation of the annual Lailatul Quadri prayers, the sponsorship of pilgrimages to the holy lands by Muslims and Christians and maintaining cordial relations between the Council and traditional authorities.
He holds a Bachelor’s of Arts in History & International Relations of the Ekiti State University, a Diploma in Law of the Obafemi Awolowo University and currently pursuing a Master’s programme International Law & Diplomacy.
Taiwo, a former Students Union Leader at the Ekiti State University, is married with children.
