To deliver a sustainable dividend of democracy and accomplishment of the 2019 proposed budget, the executive chairman of Oshodi-Isolo Local Government, Hon Bolaji Muse Ariyoh, has appealed to the Community Development Associations (CDAs) on prompt payment of their rates, levies and dues to be able to implement the projects as mapped out by the government.

Speaking on behalf of the Council Chairman, the Secretary to the local government (SLG), Hon. Abiola Oladipupo, conveyed the message to the Community Development Committee (CDC) members at their monthly meeting held at the secretariat premises to be relayed to their CDAs and to the generality of the residents through their various CDAs.

Oladipupo stated that the chairman’s intension is to ensure that people keep enjoining good governance and that the springboard towards the realization of the envisioned growth of the community is based on effective cooperation of the people in terms of prompt payment of rates, levies and dues.

He told them that without funds the local government cannot perform or meet the needs of infrastructure, health, security and environmental issues of the people at the grassroots.

However, issues emanating from security bye law were also discussed for effective community policing that would prevent a breach of contract which some communities are experiencing.

Responding, the CDC members assured the local government authority that they would play their role towards enhancement of the community growth for the benefit of all, saying they were looking forward to the realization of the projects promised.
