Two suspects in Badagry Local Government have been brought to the law by the Lagos State Police Command in the area.
The suspects, 30-year-old Sodiq Muftau and 29-year-old Surakat Toheeb were said to have been caught with firearms by the police.
In a statement by the Police Public Relations Officer, Lagos State Police Command, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, the suspects were arrested during a routine patrol at Ajara community.
He said other members escaped on sighting the police, saying the force is trying to locate their whereabouts.
While investigating them, the suspects confirmed their membership of Eiye Confraternity in Badagry and its environs.
Locally made double-barrel pistol, nine live cartridges, charms and weed suspected to be Indian hemp were found in their possession.
Hundeyin noted that the Commissioner of Police, Abiodun Alabi has charged officers to increase their efforts in sustaining the safety and security within Badagry while commending them for a job well done.
He noted that the suspects would be arraigned after the investigation.
