Over Three Thousand Households Benefits From Apatira Distribution Of Economic Food Palliatives

Over three thousand households benefitted from the economic food palliatives distributed by the chairman of Itire Ikate LCDA, Honorable (Dr) Ahmed Apatira.

The beneficiaries includes the elderly, physically challenged persons, teachers and other residents of the community.

Expressing gratitude to the recipients, the council boss acknowledged their peaceful disposition across communities and reassured them of continuous support to ease the challenges of daily life. He emphasized the initiative’s ongoing nature, with plans to implement various palliative measures, including the distribution of food items and economic support, targeting residents in both the formal and informal sectors.

“The most important aspect of today’s event is the spirit of empathy driving our actions. we, as a government, empathize with the people from all walks of life and remain committed to helping them navigate the challenges of the current times.”

Dr Apatira further appreciated them for their peaceful disposition across the communities and reiterated his unwavering readiness to always support them in every way possible to make life easier for them.

 

“This is only a fraction of what we have done to identify with the people at this very critical moment of our national life. palliatives are a stop-gap measure to cushion the effect of the removal of fuel subsidy on the most vulnerable among us.

 

“Over the next few days, our administration will roll out different palliative measures to support residents, people in the formal and informal sectors ranging from distribution of food items and other economic support palliatives to our people.

“While we acknowledge the limits of this“laudable initiative in terms of the reach. “It is an ongoing initiative as beneficiaries will be identified on a nonpartisan basis.”
