Oshodi LGA charges NULGE to double efforts on revenue generation

The Executive Chairman, Oshodi-Isolo Local Government Area (LGA), Bolaji Muse-Ariyoh has charged the workers in the local council under the umbrella of Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE) to increase their efforts towards revenue generation for the smooth running of the government at the grassroots.

Admonishing the staff during the first workers interactive forum between NULGE and the LG Management in 2018, where they deliberated on the strategies to generate more revenues in 2018, held at the Secretariat today, Ariyo assured the workers of the government’s support to carry out their duties and achieve the set goals.

He also advised the management team to block all loopholes which might affect the revenue target, promising improved welfare packages for the staff while insisting that disciplinary action would be taken against any wanting staff irrespective of their positions.

The Head of Administration (HOA), Ashafa Fatai, also advised them to give their best in any department or section they have been transferred to, emphasizing that the movement of staff across the departments in the local council were done in good faith.

The Council Treasurer, Nimota Oki encouraged the staff to shun fraudulent acts but double up their revenue generation efforts, reminding them of reward to hard work.

Meanwhile, the NULGE Chairman, Alaba Olagoroye, who appreciated the efforts of the staff so far, implored them to improve their performances in discharging their duties with assurance of better days ahead.

He also gave credit to the executive chairman, Bolaji Muse-Ariyoh, for his determination and focus towards the development of the council in diverse ways.
