Oshodi-Isolo LG Charges Mothers On Exclusive Breastfeeding

The authority of Oshodi-Isolo Local Government has charged the mothers in the community to uphold the exclusive breastfeed of their children.

They were urges during breastfeeding programme powered by the first lady of Lagos State, Dr. Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu in partnership with Oshodi-Isolo Local Government through the wife of the Council chairman, Mrs. Fadekemi Oloyede.

The experts disclosed the inherent benefits in proper breastfeeding of babies and what the babies and the mothers stand to gain.

The programme, which commenced on Tuesday, was held simultaneously across all the Primary Health Centres (PHC) in the local government from 8am.

According to Mrs. Oloyede, the council is pleased to partner with the First Lady and a medical guru to commemorate the year 2023 world Breastfeeding Week.

“We urge our mothers to make themselves available for this programme that will impact vital information to them and their babies.

“I am deeply grateful to my husband, the chairman of the Local Government, Otunba Kehinde Oloyede. I am also appreciative of the immense roles of the vice chairman, Hon. Mrs. Modupe Badmus-Aregbe and the MHO. “
