Moment Of Truce? Tinubu Hosts Fubara In Lagos

Nigeria President, Bola Tinubu, has paid host to suspended Governor of Rivers State, Siminalayi Fubara, during his visit to Lagos for the Commissioning of the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Road.

Sequel to a meeting held by the duo few weeks back in London, Tinubu welcomed Fubara to his Bouidillon residence in Ikoyi in what appears to be a happy talk time between the two.

The motive behind the meeting on Tuesday is unknown as neither the presidency nor Fubara’s camp had issued an official statement as at press time but sources disclosed that it was an effort to solve political turbulence in Rivers State amid the already sparking intense speculation across party lines and power blocs.

Belenguared Fubara, who has faced relentless political opposition since assuming office in 2023, has been facing lots of backlash in one of Nigeria’s most politically volatile states.

The Federal Government imposed a six months state of emergency in Rivers State and appointed Air Vice Marshall Ibas as sole administrator against sanctioned Fubara.
