Lekki LCDA boss praises self over healthcare delivery

The Chairman of Lekki LCDA, Hon. Rasaki Kasali has boasted about the efficiency of his administration in providing healthcare services to residents.

Kasali said aside from the treatment, the council has been planning to embark on sensitisation of residents on likely methods of preventing visual impairment, commonly available blindness and spreading awareness of the efficiency of the council’s eye care services.

He cited instances where the council has supported eye deficient patients cases like a 9-year-old boy who had an accident that led to Uveal prolapse of the left eye which corrective surgery was done before being able to see again.

The council boss also gave instance of a woman in her mid-40s with a mature cataract in both eyes, whose medical treatment was sponsored by the council.

He revealed that lots of surgery cases are still being monitored and observed as some of the patients have systemic issues which give rise to being managed closely till they are fit for surgery.

Kasali further revealed that so far his administration has paid for surgical cases at the general hospital while giving out glasses to those with refractive error, treatment of those with pathological cases, free Eye Screening and treatment made available to the people of Lekki LCDA, during the Free Health Mission.
