Lagos State House of Assembly (LAHA) member representing Mainland constituency, Hon Moshood Oshun, has given out food packs to 5000 residents in his constituency.
Oshun, representing Mainland Federal Constituency, gifted the vulnerable who were drawn from different households, schools and other residents in CDA.
One of beneficiaries who picked for Queens College community, Abiola Jacobs, with 12 of the packs said: “The lawmaker has always been good to the Queens College community. He always assists the school and sometimes visits. I am very happy about it and, on behalf of the Queens College community, we say a big thank you to our lawmaker, Hon. Moshood Oshun for the love shown to the school. We pray the good Lord bless him abundantly.”
Former member of the House of Representatives, Jide Jimoh, eulogized Oshun for embarking on the activity as it shows he remembers his constituency.
Jimoh said: “For him to have thought of assisting members of the different communities with essential food items, we thank him because it is not easy to feed people. It is not easy to help the poor. Many members of the community, no matter where they belong politically, will benefit.”
He also urged for more of such acts from lawmakers and government as a whole in assisting the masses towards ensuring a better living.
