The statement read: “The attention of the University Management has been drawn to a publication making round that the University was owing six months honorarium. This position is untrue and mere spread of falsehood to out the University leadership in bad light.

“In spite of the several strategic efforts by the management to reposition the university for better delivery, the University will like to state categorically that it is not owing six months honorarium to the adjunct lecturers.

“For the avoidance of doubt, the adjunct lecturers in the Polytechnic were only owed three months and the money had been paid on Thursday, March 2nd.

“It is imperative to note that the process of remunerating Adjunct Lecturers is that they teach, examine, invigilate and mark which last for a period of three months.”
