The Lagos State Operations Coordinating Unit (LASOCU), a Unit in the Ministry of Economic Planning and Budget (MEPB), has revealed the success the six-man Community-Based Targeting Team (CBTT) has made so far in Ejigbo Local Council Development Area (LCDA) concerning data gathering of the poorest people in the community.

The team leader, Mr Segun Adewoyin told ECHONEWS that the team which serves as a state representative in collating the data of the poorest people in each community in Ejigbo has completed the third stage of administration in the enumeration process.

He explained that the pre-sensitisation stage which entailed engaging with the community leaders such as the chairman, baale or any other recognised persons within the community to liaise with them about the aim and objectives of LASOCU has been done,

He further explained that the sensitisation stage which involved the orientation of stakeholders within the community through the community leaders has also been completed.

He said the community stakeholders have been tasked to ensure community engagement in disseminating the purpose of registration which they have been enlightened about.

Adewoyin informed that the team is set to begin enumeration once the community stakeholders are set, saying the team would verify all available data by visiting each household within Ejigbo to deliver accurate data to LASOCU at the state level.

He encouraged residents to show enthusiasm towards the registration as the government is trying all possible best to reach out to the less privileged in each community across the state.
