LASEPA Seals Event Center In Ikeja Over Noise Pollution

The Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency, LASEPA, has restrained activities at Ariba Bistro Night Life Entertainment Series in Ikeja over noise pollution.

The agency’s General Manager, Babatunde Ajayi, stated that the sealing of the event center on Tuesday, was held following persistent complaints of noise pollution from nearby residents of the establishment.

Ajayi stated that the the firm violated the state’s environmental noise regulations despite multiple warnings and engagements to desist from the act.

He emphasized that the closure reflects the agency’s dedication to eradicate noise pollution and also ensure public health and safety in the state.

Ajayi further urged all entertainment centers and residents in the state to comply with environmental standards to avoid similar sanctions. He said: “Noise pollution is a serious environmental concern that affects the quality of life and public health.

“The Lagos State Government has zero tolerance on activities that disrupt the peace and well-being of residents.

“The health implications of noise pollution contributes to stress, hearing loss, and sleep disorders.

“This is a warning to other establishments, including hospitality businesses, event centers, and nightlife venues, to adhere strictly to Lagos State’s noise regulations or face similar enforcement measures.
