Lagos Youths Denounce Attacks on Seyi Tinubu, Warn Against Impersonation
By Nurudeen Adebayo
The Coalition of Lagos Indigenous Youths has distanced itself from recent media publications aimed at discrediting Mr. Seyi Tinubu, son of President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
The group, in a statement issued by its coordinator, Hon. Tunde Azeez, condemned the activities of individuals it described as “unscrupulous and faceless.”
Hon. Azeez clarified that a controversial post making rounds on social media did not originate from the Coalition of Lagos Indigenous Youths.
He emphasized that the group stands in full support of Seyi Tinubu, praising him as a “proud and industrious son of Lagos” who has shown dedication to empowering young people in the state.
“Seyi Tinubu is one of us,” Azeez stated. “We firmly back him and will support him should he decide to run for the office of Governor of Lagos. However, at no point has he discussed such political aspirations with any individual or group.”
The group further warned a certain Ibrahim Whyte and his alleged collaborators to desist from impersonating its members and spreading defamatory claims.
It vowed to take legal action if the blackmail and impersonation persist.
“It is appalling that in this age, faceless individuals would resort to such desperate tactics to tarnish the image of a trailblazer who has contributed significantly to Lagos’ development,” the statement read.
