Lagos Assembly member representing Mushin constituency II, Mr. Olayinka Kazeem has distributed school bags and books to all primary schools in Mushin Local Government.
About 300 students from 50 primary schools in his constituency, Mushin II, who were beneficiaries of the Back to School Bundle Support 2.0, attended the ceremony held within Layi Oyekanmi elementary School on Idowu Omolodun Street, Ilasamaja, Mushin.
Speaking at the event, Kazeem, the Chairman of the House Committee on Lands in the assembly reaffirmed his dedication to serving his constituency with diligence and working to mitigate the impact of the removal of fuel subsidies by promoting the educational advancement of the pupils.
“You are starting an exciting journey of learning and discovering new things, it’s important to know that when you face tough challenges, you can learn from them and become better. I was a student like you years back in this local government and I had my primary, secondary education here in Mushin and became who I’m today because of my determination.”
“Stay focused, explore new areas in your study, and ask for help from experienced folks. Your unique ideas and hard work can change Mushin and the globe for the better. Keep trying new things, keep asking questions and believe in the impact you can make. The world is eager to hear your ideas. Enjoy the journey, because it has lots of great opportunities” he concluded.
In front of the head teachers and parents forum, young students from all the elementary schools in the constituency received the shared bundle, which contained backpacks, notebooks, and a variety of stationery goods.
Take into consideration that Olayinka was a former sole administrator of Mushin Local Government? He is aware of the difficulties parents face in providing their kids with a high-quality education. Since returning to office on June 6, 2023, as a member of the chamber, he has pledged to improve the quality of life for his constituents and given them assurances that they will have effective and meaningful representation in the Lagos State House of Assembly.
The host Mrs. Willy Akinlude, Education Secretary Mushin LEGEA, welcomed and appreciated Hon. Olayinka Kazeem for his kind gestures and for keeping some of his promises to the teachers during his electioneering campaign, members of the education sector and head teachers at the event were so delighted to receive him.
Those in attendance included Mrs. Ganiyu S.A., head of the school support services section; Mrs. Adedokun Moradehun Oluwakemi; Mrs. Babatunde Bosede Bintu, head teacher of Olisa Primary School and inclusive; Mr. Ayodele Oluranti Kehinde, head teacher of Odu Abore Primary School; and Mrs. Anyanwu Eucharia Ngozi, head teacher of Isolo Road Primary School.
The pupil’s joyous faces when they applauded and greeted Mr. Olayinka Kazeem with various songs and prayers was the event’s high point.
