The Lagos State Law Enforcement Training Institute, LETI, has held a forum with the Commitee on Judiciary at the state’s House of Assembly to familiarize and form synergy in carrying out their duties.
The state’s Committee which also covers Human Rights, Public Petitions and the Lagos State Independent Electoral Commission, LASIEC, paid the visit as part of its oversight functions in objectives and challenges of both bodies.
Chairman of the House delegation, Hon. Ladi Ajomale, stated that the lawmakers were keen to carry out a thorough inspection of facilities of the Institute and also exchange ideas on proffering needed support where necessary.
Ajomale, member of the Assembly representing Oshodi-Isolo Constituecy 02 averred that the present administration led by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu is committed to alleviating and finding solutions to myriads of problems faced by any agency in the state, hence, finding solutions in earnest.
Ajomale lauded the efforts and proactive measures put in place by the head of the Institute in ensuring that the LETI is well grounded despite the challenges being faced.
The Head of LETI, Abiola Adeyinka, believes that there is need for a proper and well-furnished office space for the agency which the Governor has approved. She also canvased for the support of the Committee to ensure that the Institute’s planned projects are achieved in the shortest possible time.
Adeyinka emphasised that the successes garnered by the Institute will give a good remark and ensure positive impact in the THEMES Plus Agenda of the present Administration.
