Lagos Blue Line Rail Roars
The much anticipated Lagos Blue Line Rail operation begins on Monday with Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu boarding with other passengers.
The stations from Mile 2 to Marina are open for ticketing and tourists who are out to feel the new infrastructure.
Last week, the Lagos Metropolitan Area Transport Authority announced that the fare would be N750.
However it noted that for now passengers would pay N350 as part of the government palliatives at this period of inflation.
By Tuesday, September 4, the commercial operation will begin lightly and by four weeks it would have reached the top gear.
The blue line is expected to move about 150,000 passengers daily between the hours of 6am and 11pm when its fully on operation.
For now, it will operate between 6am and 6pm.
