The chairman of Isolo LCDA, Mr. Olasoju Adebayo, delivered food items to vulnerable households in the council area as part of his strategy to mitigate the economic impact of subsidy removal. Despite heavy rain, constituents of all ages and genders came out to receive assistance from the Olasoju administration.

Olasoju spoke to a large crowd of residents at Esa Square of Akinbaye Ward, where the council boss’ convoy made their initial stop. The residents were unaware of what was inside the van parked beside them. The Chairman stated that: “Our coming is out of the full realization that our dear nation is undergoing a period of economic restructuring which has left citizens with hardship. As patriotic citizens, we should remain faithful and pray that the administration of Asiwaju Bola Tinubu succeeds”.

Beneficiaries were very grateful for receiving 5kg bags of rice/beans/garri, with special attention given to senior citizens by Olasoju.

At Eyin-oja, there was chaos as people, including underage individuals, rushed for the items, but Olasoju explained that this method helps reach those who may be left out by traditional application processes. The food distribution program will continue.

The convoy then headed to Metropolitan College Road, where around 400 residents received their gifts with excitement and gratitude.

Olasoju reassured them of his commitment to their well-being and said all they needed to do was pray for the leaders.
