The Member of the Lagos State House of Assembly representing Oshodi-Isolo Constituency II, Hon. Jude Idimogu has announced his readiness to embark on house-to-house campaign for the leading chairmanship aspirant in Isolo LCDA, Hon. Bayo Olasoju.
The lawmaker made the announcement on Wednesday when he was introducing Olasoju to his loyalists as he ordered his two groups – Igbo in APC and Abundance United Movement to immediately commence campaign for the aspirant.
Idimogu had just pulled out of Unity Forum, a group earlier formed by the lawmaker with the incumbent council chairman, Hon. Shamsudeen Olaleye (Shammeh) and Hon. Ganiyu Johnson, the Member of the Federal House of Representatives in Oshodi-Isolo Constituency II and their loyalists to support and promote the candidacy of Hon. Akeem Muniru, one of the aspirants in the council area and a former House of Representatives member.
Immediately after pulling out of the Unity Forum on Tuesday, Idimogu announced his support for Olasoju.
He has also directed all his campaign teams to join that of Olasoju and make sure he comes out of the party primary victorious.
The lawmaker said he had made right consultation before taking the decision, saying he has to align with the camp that has greater success prospect.
He promised to start taking Olasoju round the community to present him to his people and also canvassing their supports for him as a trustworthy candidate they could reckon with.
Responding, the highly elated aspirant, Olasoju, said he is sure of victory with the support of Igbo community in Isolo and many members of other ethnic groups.
According to him, already, he has a higher number of supporters among the Yoruba in the community, emphasising that the support of other ethnic groups and major stakeholders such as Hon. Jude Idimogu will make his victory at the polls seamless.
He, therefore, appealed to all members of the party to come out in their numbers to vote during the primary election and general election.
Olasoju assured the residents of an all-inclusive government, promising to make their needs the priority of his government.
He, however, declared that the door of his camp is wide open for any other person to come in and join his train.
