The people of Ishagatedo in Isolo Local Council Development Area (LCDA) have commended the local council Chairman, Hon. Shamsudeen Olaleye (Shammeh) for executing developmental projects in the community.
In a letter of appreciation addressed to the council chairman, the community under the aegis of Ishagatedo Governing Council led by High Chief Rasak Owodeyi and Ishagatedo Youth Progressive Union (IYPU), said they noted the commitment of the council boss to the development and progress of the community.
They listed the total reconstruction of Baale/Olokun Street fitted with solar-powered street light and the construction of Adebajo Street as part of the developmental projects executed in the community.
Other projects as contained in the letter include desilting of drainages across the community as well as construction of drain from Ile Ibadan Compound to Iboro Quarters which has helped in solving the annual problem of flood in the area.
While also commending the council boss for distributing food relief packages to members of the community during the COVID-19 lockdown, the community however appealed to Olaleye to make sure he completes other on-going projects in the community before his tenure ends next year.
