Ikorodu City Sign Goalkeeper, James Faith

Nigerian Professional Football League, NPFL side, Ikorodu City, have confirmed the signing of goalkeeper, James Faith, from Inter Lagos FC.

James moved to the Oga Boys outfit at an undisclosed fee.

The goalkeeper caught the attention of the top flight newcomers having faced them five times in three competitions last season – twice in the Nigerian National League, NNL.

James, who signed a two-year-deal, produced a magnificent performance against Ikorodu FC when both sides met in the Presidents’ Federation Cup Round of 16.

During the encounter, he made stunning saves and most notably saved a penalty in the shout-out which eventually knocked his new employees out of the competition.

The club also announced the signing of striker, Tony Obia, from Inter Lagos in a season-long-loan deal.

Obia amassed 15 goals and 12 assists in 27 outings for Inter Lagos last season. He finished top of the scorer’s and assists chat in the NNL.

Marvelous Freedom also joined Ikorodu City on a two-year-deal from Tradesafe Football Club.

Freedom, a Centre Back, will make his debut in the nation’s top flight league alongside his new employees in the forthcoming season.

Ikorodu City also announced the signing of another Centre Half, Ganiyu Adio, from Beyond Limits FA in a season-long loan deal.

Striker, Chilaka ThankGod, also made move to the Oga Boys from Nordic FC on a two-year transfer deal.

Ikorodu City will kick off their 2024/25 season on Sunday against Kano Pillars at Mohammed Dikko Stadium, Katsina.
