I sing songs that appeal to the general public – Olajide Jaybow

Fast rising multi talented singer and songwriter Lukman Olajide Olowoshile popularly known by his stage as Olajide Jaybow is known for his great acumen in dishing out soul captivating music.
The graduate of computer science from North American University Houdegbe Benin republic will release a single on the 8th of August titled ‘Winner’ and debut Extended Play (EP) album which will contain 7 tracks and also a bonus track soon.
He described how he got his stage name that Jay is gotten from his name Olajide while the bow means enemies must bow but he had to add Olajide to it to sound unique, he has also performed on stage with established acts like Tuface, CDQ, Wande Coal and so on.
Speaking with ECHONEWS, Olajide Jaybow said his interest in music began during his secondary school days when he sings Islamic songs on assembly ground and started music professionally during his university days.
“I got interested in music when I was in secondary school, I was usually called upon then to sing Islamic songs at the assembly ground, so that triggered my interest in music and I thought I could build something out of it, when I got to the university, I started doing music professionally, I dropped some couple of songs and ever since then, I have been doing fine and my kind of music is the one which I try to paint pictures.
“I will release a single on the 8th of August 2021 titled ‘Winner’ and also I am working on my EP album which will be out very soon and it’s titled ‘Sound Speak 2 Soul’ (SS2S) and my role model are Wande Coal and Beautiful Nubia whom I have learnt much from.”
Olajide Jaybow admitted that there are lots of competition in the music industry presently, that’s why he sings songs that appeal to the general public and the use of social media have helped the upcoming ones artistes to promote their music.
The multi talented singer noted that he doesn’t have any favorite in his songs because he loved them all.
“Sababi and love pills which I released two years ago became an instant hit when it was posted on Audiomack, which made Audiomack re-up it. Sababi was generally accepted because of the type of picture I painted in it which made it accepted to the general public. Almost all my songs are loved by my fans and I actually don’t have any favorite in all because I love them all.
The fast rising singer said it is very hard to get a recording deal in the music industry but he is focused more on promoting his music and brand.
