Head of Agric dept, Ige honoured on retirement

The Head of the Department of Agriculture, Youth and Social Development, Mr. Owolabi Ige received a large ovation as he bowed out of the service of Ibeju-Lekki LG.

It was indeed a double celebration for the family and friends of the outgoing HOD as he celebrated his retirement and his birthday simultaneously.

Ige retired after serving for 35 years in the Lagos State Civil Service and also clocked 60 years of age.

The council chairman, Hon. Abdullahi Olowa who joined other well-wishers eulogised and pray for Ige while acknowledging his administrative prowess and contributions to the growth of the council area.

The Supervisor for Agric and Social Services, Hon. Kareem Kolawole also applauded the celebrant for his spirit of oneness and transparency while wishing him a happy retirement and birthday.

Council Manager, Engr. (Mrs.) Olubunmi Akitoye spoke about Ige’s outstanding personality and diligence.

She admonished members of staff to toe the line of humility and other values which the celebrant is known for.

The staff members, family members, and other well-wishers, therefore, gave testimonies about the celebrant.

In response to all the accolades, the outgoing HOD appreciated the entire workforce of the Local Government for the great honour bestowed on him on his retirement and 60th birthday celebration.
