Govt to monitor 500 vocational graduate’s progress

No fewer than 500 youths who graduated from the Skills Acquisition programme jointly organised by Isolo LCDA and a non-governmental organisation, Speed Up Lagos recently would be monitored to ascertain the application of the skills to ventures.

 

Making this known, the Executive Chairman of Isolo Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Hon. Shamsudeen Olaleye disclosed that council would further support those who show appreciable progress in their respective trades as he advised them to take their respective vocations to the next level by showing dedication and zeal to succeed.

During the graduation ceremony held at the council secretariat recently, a total of 500 youths from Isolo who participated in the skill acquisition programme were given certificates

 

The graduates were engaged in a three-week extensive skill acquisition exercise including  Make-up and Gele Styling, Catering Classicals, Home Essentials Products, Customizing and Printing of Gift items as well as Fabric Designs and Management.

 

The skills and the number of the graduands include Make-up & Gele, 200; Catering Classical, 91; Home Essential Products, 51; Customizing & Printing of Gift Items, 72 while 71 graduated from Fabric Designs & Management.
