Otunba Kehinde Almaroof Oloyede, the Chairman of Oshodi-Isolo Local Government, has warmly greeted Christians in the region and beyond as they observe Good Friday – a pivotal event in the Christian faith that commemorates the crucifixion of Jesus Christ.

In a statement released by his media office, Oloyede urged Christians to use this occasion for deep reflection on key virtues, including sacrifice, humility, love, and forgiveness.

He emphasized the importance of solemn contemplation and prayer, particularly in times when unity, empathy, and principled leadership are essential for fostering growth within communities and at the national level.

He said, “This solemn occasion reminds us of the ultimate sacrifice of Jesus Christ for the salvation of mankind. It is a call to all of us, irrespective of our faith, to live with purpose, love one another, and contribute meaningfully to the progress of our society.”

The council honcho further urged Christian faithful to take time to pray for peace and stability in Oshodi-Isolo Local Government, Lagos State, and Nigeria at large. He called for continuous support, tolerance, and cooperation among residents to build a more prosperous and inclusive local government.

He concluded by wishing all Christians a peaceful and spiritually rewarding Easter season and assured residents of his administration’s commitment to good governance, infrastructural development, and the overall wellbeing of the people.
