Fire Outbreak: Shammeh, Abisiga commiserate with victims

The Chairman of Isolo Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Hon. Shamsdeen Olaleye and the Chairman of Community Development Committee (CDC), Alhaji Fatai Abisiga have commiserated with the victims of fire disaster that ravaged No 3, Asala Street, Isolo In the early hours of Monday, November 18, 2019.
The fire which was believed to have been caused by electric spark broke out around 1am in the morning and completely engulfed the whole 16-room bungalow.
According to the CDA Secretary, Alagbeji ward, Kamorudeen Lawal, the cause of the inferno remains unknown, it was compounded by gas cylinders found in almost all the rooms as the inferno was quick to consume and wreck the ceiling of the house.

Lawal confirmed that no live was lost in the incident as the fire service men from Apakun was swift to douse the inferno to contain it before spreading to nearby houses but all valuables and properties of occupants were consumed by the fire.
When visited the scene if the incident, the council chairman noted that the incident was preventable if only the building had a functional fire extinguisher.
He, however, urged the residents to be conscious, enlightening them on how to manage fire outbreak.
In effort to assuage the loss, the council boss made a cash relief donation to the victims of the disaster.
