Nakamura FA defeated FC Phoenix Queens 6-5 in penalty shootout to advance to the final of the Fausat Balogun Memorial Cup.

Both sides played a barren draw at the end of regulation time before advancing to the penalty shootout.

The hero of the day is Nakamura FA goalkeeper who made three decisive penalty saves in the penalty shootout save her team to the final of the tournament.

The match was an entertaining and very interesting game as both sides showed resilience and capability to get to the final.

Both teams showed glimpses of fascinating moment on the pitch of play as they came close to get the winning goal in the encounter.

Nakamura FA who had qualified for the semifinal on the back of a penalty shootout win against Aseyori Queens did well in the game but couldn’t find the back of the net in 90 minutes.

Phoenix Queens who defeated English Queens 2-1 in the quarter final justified their presence in the highly competitive encounter with Nakamura FA as the couple of chances that came Phoenix way couldn’t be buried as they ended the game in a goalless draw.

Phoenix Queens had the opportunity of winning the game twice with decisive spot kicks but Nakamura FA goalkeeper showed composure to pull two good saves to seal a place in the final for her team.
