… Seeks Donation of Medical Equipment to  PHCS in Eti-Osa, Environs

The Permanent Secretary, Health District III has made a renewed call to the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation Limited (NNPC), CHEVRON, and other multinational organisations within the Eti-Osa area of the State to extend their philanthropic gesture to government-owned health facilities in the areas for the benefit of the indigent residents.

The Permanent Secretary made the call during the commissioning of an Ultrasound Machine jointly donated to St. Kizito Hospital, Lekki, Lagos recently by NNPC and CHEVRON.

She said that the call was a follow-up to an earlier advocacy made to the two multinational companies to mirror the donated Ultrasound Machine to the Nine Comprehensive PHCs within the Health District.

Dr. Adeleke said that the gesture of the donors exemplifies the power of communalism and unwavering commitment to advancing healthcare within the Health District, saying that the State Government had over the years been supportive of St. Kizito Hospital.

She added that the donation of an Ultrasound Machine is a significant step forward in the collective mission to provide the best possible medical care to Lagosians at the grassroots.

“The hospital, with its exceptional medical team, has been a pillar of support to our community the same way the government has been contributing to healthcare services within the hospital. With the addition of this Ultrasound Machine, the hospital’s ability to provide accurate and timely diagnoses will be greatly strengthened in ensuring the well-being of patients”, Dr. Adeleke added.

She emphasised the need for the Hospital to continue to work hand-in-hand with the State Government towards ensuring accessible quality healthcare for every seeker within the health district irrespective of status, religion, or tribe.

Dr. Adeleke averred that the kind gesture of NNPC and Chevron, if extended to government-owned health facilities in the health district, will catalyse a broader spirit of generosity within the State’s public primary healthcare facilities in line with the THEMES Plus agenda and Greater Lagos Rising mantra of Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu.

The Permanent Secretary, who also took a tour of St. Kizito Hospital, revealed that the health facility has been recommended for empanelling into the State Health Insurance Scheme.

She thanked Chevron Nigeria Limited and NNPC for the philanthropic gesture, dedication to advancing quality healthcare within the community, and for the donated health machine.
