Educationists have urged the graduating Mass Communication students of the Lagos State Polytechnic, Ikorodu to prepare for the challenges ahead after completing their education in the school.
The experts gave the ambition at a seminar tagged “Life After School: Sustainability of Values in your Skills, Life and Career” organised by the department on Wednesday, last week at 700 Seater Auditorium, Ikorodu Campus.
Speaking, the Dean, College of Applied Social Sciences, Prof. Olamade Olumuyiwa charged the student to brace up for life after school. He commended the Department for organising such a seminar, saying it is an eye-opener for the students to know the reality of life outside the school.
The Lead Speaker, Barr. Jide Ologun in his presentation spelled out the components of the future as it will guide and enhance the students to make a difference in life after their academics, saying their future is loaded with more opportunities.
Meanwhile, the Head of Department Mass Communication Department, Dr. Zannu Prosper, in his remark, appreciated the lead speaker while reminding the students of the need to prepare for the future to be able to secure a favourable life after school “because it determines the growth and development after the graduation from school.”
Others who spoke at the event included HOD, Business Administration, Dr. Adeyeye; a Mass Communication lecturer, Mr. Ibrahim Fatoyinbo; Ex-SUG Vice President, Miss Azeezat Ideraoluwa Yusuf; Ex- NULASS President, Mr. Adewale Smart Kasali; Mr. Biolatiri Victor Adedamola Ex-Speaker(20/21), and Mr. Steven Loya an education analyst.
