Ejigbo SLG, Paul Fregene bags doctorate degree

The Secretary to the Local Government, Ejigbo LCDA, Hon. Omatseye Fregene has been conferred with the honorary doctorate degree award in Divinity by the Haggai Int’l Bible College (West Africa), an affiliate of Crown University of Theology, Ibadan, a Pan African Christian University of Education based on his contribution to the development of Christian education and human capital development and empowerment in Nigeria and across west Africa.
He was awarded certificate of admission into the board of Fellow EDSEA Business School (EBS), West African College of Entrepreneurship, Business and Strategic Management Studies in recognition of his distinguished contribution and achievement towards the promotion of SMEs in Nigeria and also appointed into the advisory council board of EDSEA society limited.
Dn. Omatseye Fregene, now Dr. Omatseye Fregene appreciated God for the honour from EDSEA Institute and Haggai Bible School.
He attributed the recognition to his line of growth through the rank in Baptist Church right from First Baptist Church to the Royal Ambassador to Love of Christ Baptist Church, Jakande Estate Ejigbo, through the rank of Men Missionary Union
According to him, the moral value that has been added is what is of great benefit presently.
Dr. Fregene therefore dedicated the award to his mother, who, he said, has been the source of his encouragement from childhood.
He said the award is a call to serve the God and the society more than he has been doing.
He appreciated the council Chairman, Hon. Monsurudeen Bello (Obe) as the award came during his tenure.
He also appreciated the former Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Hon. Kehinde Bamigbetan for identifying and giving him the opportunity to serve the community.
Meanwhile, the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Ejigbo LCDA chapter represented by the Assistant General Secretary, Rev. Isaac Olaomo as well as other stakeholder such as the South South Committee, the Men Missionary Union (MMU), Love of Christ Baptist Church, Jakande Estate, Ejigbo and others have sent congratulatory message to the awardee, urging him to keep up his good work to the community.
He said: “The award made me to reflect back and do a retrospective of how far I have come. It’s therefore imperative to appreciate the Christian virtue and role my mother played in ensuring I find the true value of life. Once I was lost, my mother, Mama Fregene, tenacious prayed for me to change for better. On that note, I dedicate this award to my mother Mama C. A Fregene JP (Iya Ijo of Holy Micheal Church of the Lord). Thank you ma!
