The Council Leader, Ejigbo Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Hon Lanre Akinbowale (Larry), has adopted one Jeremiah Odebunmi, a pupil of Asiwaju Bola Tinubu Primary School, to be enlisted in his scholarship award scheme.
The scholarship, according to the council leader, would cover all the expenses to complete his primary school education, promising that an account would be opened in which the money would be domiciled for the scholarship.
Aside the scholarship, the council leader also distributed 1000 exercise books to other pupils of the school as a way of supporting their academic pursuit.
He said the scholarship beneficiary was singled out for the gift based on the level of his family’s financial incapability to meet his needs.

Appreciating the gesture, the father of the boy, Mr. Tajudeen Odebunmi prayed for the leader as he expressed his utmost joy, saying he was one of the most honoured citizens of Ejigbo.
The school Director, Mrs. Hassan together with other staff members and the students appreciated the Leader’s intervention.
During the presentation of the materials to commemorate his birthday, N150,000 was given to 15 youths to support their businesses, two clippers to two barbers and a battery to a battery charger, while 55 widows were given packaged food stuff which comprised rice, beans, gari and wheat flour.
Speaking, Akinbowale said the gesture was his little way of giving back to the society, saying there was no other way to make the community better than to support the needy as he encouraged all the beneficiaries to make good use of the little they got so as to multiply it for better living.
Speaking at the event, the mother of the council leader, Alhaja Akinbowale urged the youths to desist from all forms of evil and vices which could destroy them.
