The Lagos State Employment Trust Fund (LSETF) is asking youths to take advantage of its start-up loans earmarked for youths who have acquired skills.
According to the agency, the loan, between N50,000 and N250,000 is to be given to eligible entrepreneurs to build small scale businesses.
Mr. Funsho Ogunlumade, who led LSETF to Oshodi-Isolo LG recently told the participants in the just concluded skill acquisition programme to access the soft loan.
Ogunlumade explained that the beneficiaries of the loan are expected to pay back within 12 months and one month period.
The loan, according to him, attracts 9 percent interest rate to be spread on monthly playback.
To access the loan, interested participants are advised to visit the LSETF department in their Local government to apply for the loan or visit the LSETF website.
Criteria for the loan includes residing and owning a business within Lagos State with a proof of Lagos State Residents Registration Agency (LASRRA) identity card.
In addition, applicants are to present any of the four government Identification cards such as Permanent Voter’s Card ( PVC), National Identification Number (NIM), valid driver’s license and valid international passport.
Two passport photographs, email address and tax payment identity card are also listed among the basic requirements needed to access the loan.
