At the wake of constant robbery in the community, the former chairman of Omiyale End Community Development Association (CDA), Alhaji Tunde Kadri, has charged the residents to be security conscious and cooperate to collectively reinforce security against robbery in the community.

He made the call as the robbery in the community has been constant in the past months, with one of the thieves caught in an attempt to break into a house by the residents and was handed over to the police.

Kadri, who expressed grievance over non-cooperation of the residents in paying security levies to upgrade security in the area, said the act has been bouncing back on the community.

He said the local security employed to man the community are to be paid with contributions from all the houses in the community but many refused to pay.

He however charged the residents to put efforts in keeping the community safe as the miscreants are operating on every side, both day and night.

Relating the incident of one of the miscreants arrested on Tuesday, September 4 at No 3, Adesina Sule Street, Alhaji Sule House, he said the suspect the young who challenged him before the girl raised alarm, which led to his arrest.

“The suspect, who identified himself as Yusuf confessed upon interrogation to have come from Isheri to operate in Ejigbo. He was however handed over to the police and would soon be charged to court for prosecution,” he explained.
