Breastfeeding Week: Ifako-Ijaiye Educates Nursing Mothers

Ifako-Ijaiye Local Government was filled with a sense of elation and exuberance today as countless nursing mothers congregated to rejoice in the annual observance of World Breastfeeding Week 2024.

 

The mood was jubilant as the women shared their experiences and insights, all the while cherishing the profound bond between mother and child that is nurtured through breastfeeding. The camaraderie and enthusiasm of the nursing mothers created a palpable sense of community and solidarity, underscoring the importance of breastfeeding and the shared joys of motherhood

 

 

 

In an event themed “Closing the Gap: Breastfeeding Support for All,” the Chairman of Ifako-Ijaiye Local Government, Prince Akanbi Hamzat, expounded upon the numerous advantages of proper breastfeeding.

 

He elucidated how appropriate breastfeeding practices can significantly contribute to the well-being of both mother and child, while also reducing healthcare costs and promoting overall community health.

 

 

Joining them were the Committee Members and the Management Team, creating a diverse and engaged audience. The energy and enthusiasm in the room were palpable, with attendees eager to engage in discussions, share their experiences, and learn more about the benefits of breastfeeding. With each passing year, this event serves as a timely reminder of the importance of breastmilk in maternal and infant health.
