Ayisat Yusuf FA Crowned Champions Of RAAF Female Unity Cup

Ayisat Yusuf FA have emerged the winners of the maiden edition of the Raliat Anako Abdulsalam Foundation (RAAF) Female Unity Cup.
The tournament which is in collaboration with the Lagos State FA and also served as a preseason to the participating teams saw Ayisat Yusuf FA defeated CATS Ladies to seal the crown of the most coveted women’s football competition in Lagos state at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan.
After passing through the rigorous stage of the competition, Ayisat Yusuf FA played an intense final against familiar foes, CATS Ladies.
Both sides couldn’t break the deadlock in the game as it went straight to penalty shootout.
In a twist of fate, Ayisat Yusuf FA goalkeeper, Basirat Lawal was the hero of the day as she showed exceptional reflexes to stop CATS Ladies last spot kick which paved way for her team to be crowned champions of the RAAF Female Unity Cup.
Ayisat Yusuf midfield anchor, Omolara Odebode won the Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the tournament and she poured accolades on her coach for his tactical master class in ensuring they won the game. She however believes this is just the starting point for the team.
Ayisat Yusuf FA head coach, Adeboye Shoneye was delighted with the win and believes it’s a good preparation experience for the team ahead of their quest in the Lagos State League.
